Our Grief Services

We believe that grief can be lived positively through the love and support of the people around us.

We will be around for as long as you need us.

What Is Grief?

Grief is a natural and normal response to the loss of a loved one. It’s an emotional pain that can take months or even years to heal. Often, the pain of losing a loved one can feel overwhelming.

You may experience all kinds of emotions, from profound sadness or loneliness to guilt, anger, shock or disbelief. All of these reactions are normal, the more significant the loss, the more intense your grief may be.

Feeling alone after the death of a loved one is common, it’s important to know that there is support available to help you find a path to healing.

At Tiare Funerals & Deathcare, we are passionate about helping you through the grief journey. We want to be a shining light amid the darkness.

We understand that some people may need a more personal experience before, during and after the death of a loved one: a Death Doula can be of great assistance in these cases.

We also created our monthly Sitting with Grief Circles, which are regular meetings aimed at nurturing connections and support in our community, so that you know that you are not alone. We will be there for you long after the paperwork is done.

Our Sitting With Grief Circles

Sitting with Grief Circles

Our Sitting with Grief Circles are monthly meetings that help support our clients and our community through meaningful connections.

Our goal is to encourage a path of healing through friendships, guidance and support.

We want you to know you are not alone and that we will be there for you long after the paperwork is done.

  • During our monthly Sitting with Grief Circles, we will have different guest speakers and there will be opportunities to explore therapies such as breathwork, meditation and sound work.

  • Our Sitting with Grief Circles will be held on the last Saturday of each month from 10 am-12 pm at our premises in Chinderah.

  • Tea and scones will be served, and all are welcome, including those who did not use the services of Tiare.

Coping with the loss of a loved one is one of the hardest challenges you will face in life, often creating an overwhelming feeling of loneliness. And that is why we are building a community to help guide and support each other, create friendships and encourage a path to healing.

Death Doula

A Death Doula or End-Of-Life Doula is a trained professional who can help you navigate difficult times pre-death, during death and post-death. Death doulas are compassionate and empathetic people who are there to assist with your end-of-life choices and well-being.

A Death Doula provides emotional, spiritual and also practical assistance with the small tasks you may need to get done during difficult times.

  • They are someone who is there to listen and chat with

  • They can help with light household duties, cooking and taking you to appointments or for a simple walk around your neighbourhood.

  • They can be someone who pops in to have a cup of tea or help you finalise paperwork.

  • They can also be of service post-death to help your loved ones who are left behind.

A death doula is like having a guardian angel come in and peacefully help around the perimeters of facing death and all that comes with it.

We offer a death doula service which is charged out at $55 an hour for a minimum of 3 hours.
